We know that you don’t trust your beloved pet to just anyone...and you shouldn’t. It’s natural that you will have questions before allowing Your Darling Pets to care for your furry friend. Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often. If you have questions that are not listed here, or if you want more clarification on any of our services, feel free to contact us.

+ Are you closed during the holidays?
We are not closed for the holidays but our services may be limited for holidays (including New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day). We recommend that you submit your request for a holiday service at least 2 weeks in advance. Please note there are additional fees for holiday services:
- +$10 for a single express visit or dog walk
+ Can I meet my walker or sitter first?
Yes! You can schedule a complimentary meet-and-greet with one of our staff members so you know your pet is in good hands. Additionally meet & greets with staff members may be held via video chat at no additional cost.
+ Will I always have the same walker or sitter?
We know how important consistency is for your pets, and while we do our best to keep the same walker or sitter for every visit, with the exciting changes happening at Your Darling Pets, you may notice a few different faces! As we expand and grow, we’re creating a dynamic team to offer the best care for your pets. But don’t worry—whether it’s the familiar faces you already know or a new team member, we make sure that everyone is trained to give your pets the love and attention they deserve. After all, it’s all about keeping your pets happy and safe, no matter who’s at the door!
+ Will you keep a copy of my house key?
In order to guarantee that a walker will always be able to get into your home, we recommend that a key be left somewhere on your property in a lock box or hidden place.
+ Can I cancel or change the time of my scheduled walk?
Please contact our team as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a service. If the walker has availability, you maybe able to change the time of your scheduled walk. A 75% cancellation fee will be charged for any service cancelled less than 24hrs in advance. If the walker has arrived to your home before the cancelation is received, the walk will be billed at the full price.
+ Do you guarantee an exact time of arrival?
If you request a specific time, we will try our best to accommodate your requested time. We like to leave a 2-hour window for the walker to arrive. We do typically arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled time, but sometimes delays are unavoidable.
+ When are walkers available to walk my dog?
Walks are available 8:30am - 6:00pm Monday-Sunday. We recommend booking your walk at least 48 hours in advance to ensure a walker will be available for your dog. Please note we work within a first come first serve basis. For package holders, a walker is available to provide your scheduled prorated walk between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday- Friday.
+ What if my dog needs to be walked later than 6pm?
If you need a dog walk outside of the hours listed, it may be provided for an additional $10 fee, depending on your walker's availability.
+ What if I need more than one dog walked?
Our walkers are happy to walk all of your dogs in your home! There is a fee of $5 per additional dog in the same home.
+ Is tipping required?
Tipping is entirely at your discretion and is not required. However, if you do choose to tip, it is always greatly appreciated by our staff.
Dog training
+ Help! My dog is out of control. Can you train him?
Definitely! Our experienced trainers are available to provide private in-home lessons that are tailored to your specific needs.
+ What does the dog training entail?
We assess your dog and then design a training program specific for your pet. Before undertaking any training, we will review the plan with you to make sure you understand and agree with the goals. And remember--successful dog training depends on a strong bond between you and your dog and regular reinforcement of the lessons.
+ How do you book dog training and how much does it cost?
Dog training lessons can be purchased as single lessons or in packages. Pricing varies on the amount of training needed and where you are located. A deposit is required upon booking & the rest of the payment will be collected at the end of the first lesson. Training lessons are non-refundable, unless the trainer is unable to complete the training. All training sessions must be used or scheduled within 3 months of the purchase date. We request that you sign an agreement waiver at the beginning of the first lesson. Please contact us for more info.
